There are three formats of cricket
- One Day International Cricket
- The new format T20 International Cricket.
In Test cricket there are two teams having 11 players each play for five days, each team can play two innings in these five days . The first test match recognised in 1877, between England and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) , where Australia won by 45 runs.
In ODI cricket there are two teams having 11 players each play limited overs and in each over there are 6 balls . The Cricket World Cup is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called "Limited Overs Internationals .The first ODI was played
at the Melbourne Cricket Ground
between Australia and England
on 5 January 1971 .
T20 format is newly developed format of cricket. In this fomat the two teams play a 20 over match . This format is very popular these days . people loves to watch a T20 match. Before T20 matches the worldcup is played in ODI format only but due to it's popularity in less time worldcup is also played in T20 format .
