Nowadays there is ICC Champions Trophy is going on in ODI format of cricket. There are eight teams in this champions trophy. It is also called as mini world cup of cricket. Here are some updates of this league .

In group A the leading team is New Zealand because of having more points and good run rate. In Group B the leading team is India because of its good performance in the league . India also Qualified for the semifinal of the Champions Trophy.

Legends of cricket

Cricket has given us many great legends. here are the some great legends, the first person about which i am going to talk about is:-

Donald Bradman :-  

Donald Bradman was a Australian cricketer.He started his career in 1908 . He was one of the most famous players in the world .To prove this we has only to look at his test batting average . He has test batting average of 99.94 .  He also holds many test records including that for most double and triple centuries.Bradman opened his account on English pitches with a blistering 236 in Worcester.






 
Sachin Tendulkar:-


 Sachin Tendulkar is a indian cricketer . He Played his first inernational cricke match in the age og only 16 years. He played his first test match against pakistan . He is the best batsman in the world in odi cricket after Bradman .He set mny records in the cricket like hi is the only batsman who score 34000 in all formats of cricket . he also wins many awards . He is known as little master in the cricket world.




wasim Akram:-

wasim Akram is a Pakistani cricketer . He was a  all-rounder and  best known for bowling at the death in One Day Internationals. He started his career in 1966. He has over 400 test and 500 ODI's wickets on his resume. HE is not only a good bowler he was also a fine batsman - compiling a top score of 257 not out at Test level.

Formats of Cricket

 There are three formats of cricket

• Test Cricket ,

• One Day International Cricket

• The new format T20 International Cricket. 

In Test cricket there are two teams having 11 players each play for five days, each team can play two innings in these five days . The first test match recognised in 1877, between England and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) , where Australia won by 45 runs.

In ODI cricket there are two teams having 11 players each  play limited overs and in each over there are 6 balls . The Cricket World Cup is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called "Limited Overs Internationals .The first ODI was played  at the Melbourne Cricket Ground  between  Australia and England  on 5 January 1971 .

T20 format is newly developed format of cricket. In this fomat the two teams play a 20 over match . This format is very popular these days . people loves to watch a T20 match. Before T20 matches the worldcup is played in ODI format only but due to it's popularity in  less time worldcup is also played in T20 format .

Histoty of cricket

Hello everyone my name Amrit Pal Singh. Cricket is my favourite game . It is one of the most interesting games



Cricket was started by England. First international match of cricket was  played in 1844. Cricket was started as a children's games but adult version is started in 17th century. There are three formats of cricket Test cricket, one day international cricket and T20 cricket.
First cricket world cup was held in 1975 in England and the winner of this world cup was West Indies.

 

Nowadays it is a very popular game. Today, Cricket is still a major sport that still attracts players, spectators and even media interest as well . My favourite Team is India because I am from India Also India is the winner of World cup 2011.

Nowadays in India IPL a T20 format of is running . There are 9 teams in IPL. This is 6th Ipl and people are enjoying this very much.
